Ryan Tannehill looks to have a slight edge over Matt Moore in the Dolphins quarterback competition. We break down the fantasy implications.
As far as stats go, Tannehill has outperformed Moore so far this preseason. There isn't a certain No.1 quarterback on this team yet, but Tannehill appears to be winning the race so far.
Analysis: The rookie has been decent in the first half of preseason. Tannehill completed 25 of 44 passes for 267 yards and a touchdown in two games, with a quarterback rating of 82.3. Moore on the other hand did not fare well, finishing 12 of 27 for 136 yards and an interception. His 44.4 percent completion rate will not be putting him ahead on Tannehill anytime soon. If you're looking to pick up either of the two, Tannehill has to be the favorite at this point. Both quarterbacks have their flaws, but Moore is really underperforming. Whoever wins the job, though, will only be a backup on your roster.
