Jeff Demps To Join Patriots For Padded Practice Wednesday: Fantasy Implications

Jeff Demps will take part in padded practice with the Patriots on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jeff Demps did not suit up for Monday night's game between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. Greg A. Bedard of the Boston Globe reports that the Pats will use Wednesday's padded practice to acclimate the speedy running back to the NFL.

Analysis: Demps will be questionable for Friday's preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers considering the tight turnaround from Wednesday's practice, though it's not out of the realm of possibility that he make an appearance. It's still unclear just how the Pats intend to utilize the diminutive running back. It would be nice if the team gave us a glimpse before the regular season began, though that may be a luxury at this point. Best guess is that Demps should stay off your draft-day radar unless New England pulls a shocker and announces he'll be the sole starter in the backfield.
