Patrick Chung left Monday night's game between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles with an injury, according to Pro Football Talk. Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston reports that Chung appeared to suffer a shoulder injury. The safety left the field after making a tackle on Eagles running back LeSean McCoy. Teammates directed Chung to the sideline where he met with training staff.
Analysis: From a non-fantasy perspective, Chung's loss is huge. The Patriots' secondary was swiss cheese last year, but Chung has been solid when he has seen the field in the last three seasons. Unfortunately, he has had a few too many run-ins with the injury bug than the team or IDP owners would like. Chung missed two games in 2010 and eight games in 2011. He is very productive when he is on the field, racking up 158 tackles over his last 22 games. He simply hasn't been able to stay healthy, however.
