Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie left the Eagles' Monday Night game against the Patriots with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return, according to the Eagles. Rodgers-Cromartie was having a productive evening before leaving the field. He had a would-be interception wiped out by a penalty and was sound in coverage all night. Rodgers-Cromartie joined Michael Vick among Eagles players who did not finish Monday night's game.
Analysis: The Eagles dealt with tons of injuries in 2011, and early indications are that 2012 could bring much of the same. Between Nnamdi Asomugha and Rodgers-Cromartie, the Eagles have been scared by minor injuries in the secondary throughout the preseason. When healthy, Philadelphia boasts one of the top stop units in the NFL. But health is a growing concern for a number of players on this roster.
