The Cincinnati Bengals will have 16 players inactive for Thursday night's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. The biggest names include RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis, TE Jermaine Gresham, RB Bernard Scott, DE Carlos Dunlap, DE Robert Geathers, LB Rey Maualuga, CB Dre Kirkpatrick, CB Adam Jones and CB Jason Allen.
Analysis: BJGE has been bothered by a sore foot for most of camp, and missing his second straight preseason game is mostly a precaution. With both him and Scott out, Brian Leonard will be getting the start at RB Gresham had a minor knee sprain in his last game, and it's not expected to knock him out of the regular season. With the big TE target out, this game is a chance for someone in the receiver logjam to step up and claim the No. 2 WR spot. The Bengals' secondary depth is still paper thin, nothing new there.
