Fantasy Football 2012 Rankings: Running Backs Standard & PPR

Got a big draft this weekend and not sure about how to address running back? Check out our latest updated ranking for PPR and standard formats.

Welcome back, everyone. It's going to be a busy weekend here at SB Nation Fantasy, and we're going to help you all with an updated set of rankings for your drafts.

Honestly, who in the Wide World of Sports buys a magazine these days? You guys should see what my rankings looked like from back in May. Well, I just wanted to stress the importance of being up to the minute on the news in your draft. Make sure you spend as much time as you can before heading into your draft room. You should know that a player like Evan Royster has a swollen knee and NFL.com is reporting several sources say Michael Turner is losing steam.

I'd also like to mention a draft I did with a bunch of fellow writers. If your league is competitive, you might want to check out this PPR draft. On the other hand, I did a story on a draft I did with some friends. Half of them are plugged in all the time and half of them weren't as prepared as they should have been. If this sounds like your league, you might want to check out this two-QB, IDP and PPR draft.

On to our running back rankings. I've broken them down into standard league rankings and Points Per Reception (PPR) rankings. The top five is the same in both but, after that, guys like Matt Forte and Darren Sproles gain some serious value.
