Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson continues to be on schedule for a timely return from an arthroscopic knee surgery that sidelined him through most of August. Before Friday's preseason game, Browns GM Tom Heckert told WKYC TV that there's a "pretty good chance" Richardson will be ready to play in the regular season opener September 9th. This is the second knee injury for the 3rd overall pick, who tore his meniscus during the BCS National Championship Game.
Analysis: Not much has changed on Richardson's prognosis, but it's nice to hear a confirmation from the GM that he's on track. The Browns are expected to limit his carries for the early part of the season until they're sure his knee is 100%, so while we still like him as a top-20 fantasy running back, it's worth picking up Montario Hardesty as a late-round handcuff.
