New York Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks is trying to convince coaches to let him test his injured foot in the team's final preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is reportedly lobbying for playing time in the team's preseason finale on Wednesday against the New England Patriots. According to The New York Daily News, Nicks practiced at full speed on Sunday and is wants to test his injured foot at game speed. Coach Tom Coughlin says he expects to make a decision on whether Nicks will play after practice on Monday.

Analysis: The Giants and fantasy owners have a lot invested in Nicks heading into the season and no one wants to see a setback occur in the final preseason game. The target for Nicks all along has been Week 1 and the injury doesn't seem to be a factor at this point. For now, fantasy owners should draft Nicks with confidence but should pay close attention should Coughlin decide to let him play before the regular season begins.
