Rashad Jennings could start the first two games for the Jaguars and more with Maurice Jones-Drew's holdout expected to last into the regular season, according to Adam Schefter. Jones-Drew has already accumulated more than $1 million in fines for his 35-day holdout, and if he extends it into the regular season it will start costing him his $260,000 game checks. Jennings has proven to be a capable replacement this preseason, making it easier for the Jaguars to hold their ground on Jones-Drew.
Analysis: Rashad Jennings faces the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans in the first two weeks of the season, and neither is an excellent fantasy matchup. However, Jennings has been running strong in the preseason, and would make a decent RB2 to start the season. Even when Jones-Drew returns, he won't immediately resume his role as the full-time running back. Jennings will still have a share of the carries.
