The New England Patriots rested their starters during their final preseason game on Wednesday night against the New York Giants. We break down the fantasy implications.

The New England Patriots rested their starters during their final preseason game on Wednesday night against the New York Giants. The 2012 preseason wasn't the best for the Patriots. Tom Brady and company didn't get things going in the limited action they did see, but Bill Belichick is known for not revealing much in meaningless games. It's safe to assume the Patriots will be ready to go on opening day.

Analysis: While it's nice to see your fantasy stars light it up during the preseason, when it comes to the New England Patriots, fantasy owners know what they are getting. Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez are all still studs. Brandon Lloyd should provide solid value, though he and Brady didn't establish much chemistry this preseason.
