Wide receiver James Jones is reportedly being targeted by the Miami Dolphins in a trade. We break down the fantasy implications.
Green Bay Packers WR James Jones is being targeted in a trade by the Miami Dolphins, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. The Dolphins are looking for upgrades at that position and Jones is not high on the depth chart with the Packers. Miami does have draft picks to help make a move.
Analysis: Jones would become one of Miami's top receivers if a move is made. As the report points out, only Davone Bess, Brian Hartline and Legedu Naanee are likely to make the team's 53-man roster. If Jones goes to Miami, it shouldn't take him too long to get up to speed because of his familiarity with coach Joe Philbin, who was the offensive coordinator in Green Bay. Jones could see a boost in fantasy value if he ends up on another team but he won't help owners if he stays with the Packers.
