The St. Louis Rams are reportedly working on a new contract for receiver Danny Amendola. We break down the fantasy implications.

The St. Louis Rams are working on a new deal for wide receiver Danny Amendola, veteran sportscaster Howard Balzer reports. Amendola is the team's No. 1 receiver heading into the regular season. He is currently playing on a restricted free agent tender worth just less than $2 million this season.

Analysis: Amendola could be a respectable fantasy contributor this season, especially if he is close to the form he showed in 2010. He missed all of 2011 after dislocating his elbow in Week 1 of the season. He figures to get lots of targets this season from quaterback Sam Bradford, so fantasy owners in PPR leagues should expect Amendola to be a viable fantasy commodity this season.
