Rookie running back Terrance Ganaway was cut by the New York Jets on Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rookie running back Terrance Ganaway was waived by the New York Jets on Friday, Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Ganaway was signed by team as a undrafted free agent out of Baylor. According to Vrentas, the team hopes to re-add Ganaway to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Analysis: Ganaway wasn't much of a fantasy football threat, but he did score the Jets' only touchdown of preseason on a 6-yard pass from Greg McElroy against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. At 6'0, 239 pounds, Ganaway has an intriguing mix of size and skills, though whether he actually ever makes it in the NFL remains to be seen. The Jets are set at running back with Shonn Greene topping the depth chart ahead of Joe McKnight and Bilal Powell.
