Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice says he will be ready for week one against the Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice has told Sports Radio KJR 950 in Seattle that he doesn't know where Sports Illustrated's Peter King got the notion that he might not be ready for week one. "I'm playing in the Cardinal game. I have no idea where (King) got that from." he told Dave Mahler. Reports as of yesterday that Rice could be in danger of missing the opener apparently originated from King, but Rice appears very confident that he's going to be fully recovered from surgeries on both shoulders earlier this year.

Analysis: Rice has only made fourteen starts over the past two seasons and has not been nearly as productive in those games as he was in 2009, when he caught 83 passes for 1,312 yards and 8 touchdowns. Rice had two 100-yard games last season, his first in Seattle, and he has the size and ability to be a number one receiver in fantasy. However, it's become a constant question about whether or not he could stay on the field for an extended period of time. He could be a great value pick in fantasy, or he could miss significant time again.
