Marc Tyler is going to get a lot of action in the Packers game against the Chargers tonight. We break down the fantasy implications.
Green Bay Packers running back Marc Tyler is expected to get a lot of work in their game against the San Diego Chargers tonight. With him and James Starks as the only two backs cleared to get unlimited snaps, and the fact that Starks is a veteran, it's likely that Green Bay will get a long look at the undrafted rookie free agent out of USC. Tyler had missed two practices earlier with a slightly dislocated left shoulder, but now with Brandon Saine and Du'ane Bennett ruled out, he's one of the few backs that are healthy.
Analysis: The Packers are no strangers to finding starting running backs off of the unwanted pile. Ryan Grant was an undrafted free agent and James Starks was a sixth round pick. Tyler was a Parade All-American in high school but ultimately disappointed at USC, while suffering from injuries and off-field issues with the media. However, the talent might be there for him to one day be a surprise player for the Packers. We'll get a good look at Tyler tonight with so many other backs on the shelf.
