Lance Moore was a huge weapon for the Saints on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Despite the struggles New Orleans experienced in Week 1 of the regular season, Lance Moore was a shining star on the offensive side of things. Moore finished with six receptions for 120 yards and one touchdown against the Redskins.
Fantasy Impact: It looks like Moore might benefit from Robert Meachem's departure more than analysts predicted. He saw 10 targets on the afternoon, just one fewer than Marques Colston. Keep in mind, though, that Drew Brees and the Saints were forced to air it on down the stretch as they trailed Washington throughout the game. Moore has seen his share of breakout games in previous years, but inconsistency has been his calling card for fantasy owners. Drew Brees was not as precise as we're used to seeing. That should change as the season progresses. Moore will have a good chance at more big days if Saints continue to play catch-up every game.
