Jonathan Dwyer led the Steelers with 43 yards on nine carries Sunday against the Broncos. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jonathan Dwyer led the Pittsburgh Steelers' rushing attack on Sunday, gaining 43 yards on nine carries against the Denver Broncos. Isaac Redman had 11 carries for just 21 yards. Rashard Mendenhall was marked inactive as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL late last season.

Analysis: Neither Dwyer nor Redman did anything to definitively secure a featured role going forward within the Steelers' offense. Mendenhall may be able to play next week against the New York Jets, giving him a chance to regain his starting job. Pay close attention to practice reports during the week. The running back situation in Pittsburgh has been difficult to gauge throughout the offseason, but as Mendenhall heals it seems more and more likely that he eventually takes over the workload.
