Maurice Jones-Drew remained the No. 1 running back for the Jaguars on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Maurice Jones-Drew was utilized as the No. 1 running back for the Jaguars in their regular season opener. Jones-Drew carried the ball 19 times for 77 yards, and also caught three passes for 18 against the Vikings.

Fantasy Impact: Rumors before this matchup stated that MJD would play a third-down role for Week 1 after returning from him holdout so late in preseason. That didn't appear to be the case when he stepped on the field. Rashad Jennings saw eight carries come his way, but he was clearly the backup to Jones-Drew like he was expected to be heading into the season. Jones-Drew still needs to time to get back into the swing of things. Fantasy owners shouldn't have a problem starting him right away, though, as his workload will only increase from here.
