Philip Rivers went 24-for-33 passing for 231 yards, one touchdown and zero turnovers as the San Diego Chargers beat the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football. He was sacked just once for a loss of five yards. Rivers found seven different receivers on the night. He connected with Malcom Floyd four times including once on a six-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
Analysis: Rivers was efficient, if not overwhelmingly effective. Neither starting quarterback in the game found much luck with the deep ball Monday. Still, going turnover-free is a welcome sight for fantasy owners. Rivers should fare better against the Tennessee Titans next week, especially if the run game is able to provide some support. Ronnie Brown and Co. managed just 32 yards against Oakland.
