Jeremy Maclin may not be able to play Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens after injuring his hip during Sunday's win over the Cleveland Browns. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jeremy Maclin's status is uncertain for the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 2 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens after the wide receiver suffered a hip flexor strain and a hip pointer during Sunday's win over the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Andy Reid said that the team will evaluate Maclin over the next few days to determine whether he will play.
"As you know with hip pointers, those things hurt you a lot more the next couple of days than they do when they actually happen," Reid said.
Analysis: Maclin played through pain Sunday to record seven catches for 96 yards and a touchdown, and is expected to be a boon once again for fantasy owners if healthy. Be sure to follow up on the wideout's status beginning with the team's first official injury report Wednesday. The Eagles tried out free agent Mardy Gilyard on Monday in case Maclin won't be able to suit up.
