Shane Vereen returned to practice for the Patriots on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shane Vereen was spotted at practice for the New England Patriots on Wednesday, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports. Vereen was seen stretching and jogging after seven straight missed practices due to a foot injury. It seems likely that he will be listed as limited once a full report is released.

Analysis: There's no word yet on Vereen's status for Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. Given how much time he spent on the sideline, it wouldn't be surprising if the Patriots ride Stevan Ridley at least one more week. Once fully healthy, Vereen could cut into Ridley's touches, however. Ridley was one of the gems of Week 1, rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown. Whether he stays hot could depend significantly on how long it takes Vereen to get back up to speed.
