Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie was medically cleared to play on Wednesday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie (concussions) was cleared to play on Wednesday. The Colts (0-1) will play the Minnesota Vikings (1-0) in Week 2, where Collie is expected to be a full participant.
Fantasy Implications: This is great news for the Indianapolis Colts who were in need of some more firepower on offense. Rookie QB Andrew Luck targeted Reggie Wayne 18 times on Sunday vs. the Bears, but was hoping to spread the ball around a bit more. Collie's skill set provides a different style receiver that could prove to be a great go-to underneath guy. And on a team that will be playing from behind often, Collie should have even more value in PPR leagues. He is worth the gamble at flex until his real value reveals itself.
