Golden Tate Likely To Take Braylon Edwards Spot If Healthy, Rotating Fantasy Value

Golden Tate looks closer to returning and putting Braylon Edwards lower on the depth chart. We break down the fantasy implications.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate was a full participant in practice Thursday for the first time since a knee injury in the last preseason game, and it's expected that if there are no setbacks he will start over Braylon Edwards. Tate appeared to have won the job outright but the injury allowed Edwards to start week 1 and the Seahawks lacked the explosive plays that a "playmaker" like Tate brings, as offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell believes. The offensive line could also see some changes with John Moffitt starting at right guard, while left tackle Russell Okung is questionable.

Fantasy Analysis: Edwards had some nice catches in the preseason but has been unable to create any separation so far. The speed and agility of Tate is valuable, he just needs to show consistency and he could have some value in deep formats as the season goes on, whereas Edwards likely shouldn't be owned at all.
