Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has apparently had contract extension talks with the team. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has reportedly had preliminary contract extension talks with the team, a source tells ESPN's Ed Werder. Romo signed a six-year, $67.4 million contract in 2007. Werder reports that the Cowboys have informed Romo they want to sign him to an extension.

Fantasy Impact: This isn't too much of a surprise because Romo has statistically been one of the top quarterbacks in football in recent years. He hasn't made a huge impact in the playoffs but that doesn't worry most fantasy owners. Those who have him in dynasty and keeper leagues would probably be content to see him stay in Dallas, where he has a lot of talent around him on offense. Romo is a No. 1 fantasy quarterback this week against the Seattle Seahawks.
