Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson said he didn't see much new from Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler after the Packers beat the Bears 23-10 Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson still isn't worried about Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler or any new weapons he has on offense. Woodson told ESPN's Rachel Nichols after Thursday's 23-10 win over the Bears that the Cutler was "the same old Jay" after throwing four interceptions. Earlier in the week, Cutler wished the Packers secondary "good luck" if they tried to play press coverage against Chicago. Woodson responded after the game: "We don't need luck, we just need to be in position. Jay will throw us the ball."
Fantasy Impact: Woodson and the Packers needed an effort like the one they got on Thursday, rewarding fantasy owners with a bounty of sacks and interceptions. It also highlights the frustration fantasy owners have had with Cutler, who should still be a solid fantasy option in most weeks. Thursday's performance will also boost the fantasy value of the Packers as a D/ST unit.
