Dwight Freeney has been ruled out for Sunday against the Vikings. We break down the fantasy implications.

Indianapolis Colts DE/OLB Dwight Freeney (ankle) has been officially ruled out of Sunday's Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings, reports Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star. Freeney left last Sunday's game against the Bears with an undisclosed ankle injury and did not return.

Fantasy Impact: There is speculation that the injury may keep him out until October. We don't know how true that is, so let's focus on the here and now - Freeney will be out against the Vikings Sunday, and it's a huge loss to a defense whose pass rush evaporated against the Bears. With room to run and time to throw, look for big fantasy numbers from Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin and even Christian Ponder.
