Antonio Gates is at practice Friday for the first time this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates (ribs) returned to practice Friday, reports Michael Gehlken. Gates sat out most of the week after banging up his ribs on Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders. Despite sustaining the injury during the game, he still played 54-of-58 snaps and grabbed four of eight targets for 43 yards.

Fantasy Impact: Doesn't sound like much to worry about. The Chargers had a short week of rest thanks to MNF, so they likely just gave him the days off as a precaution. Gates is still a monster TE, right up there with Gronk and Aaron Hernandez, who just happened to light up the Titans' defense in Week 1. He's up for a big game.
