Shane Vereen is listed as questionable for Sunday's game between the Patriots and Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shane Vereen is listed as questionable for Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals, according to Shalise M. Young of the Boston Globe. Vereen was held out of the season opener with a foot injury, but has been able to practice this week albeit in a limited fashion.

Fantasy Impact: Even if Vereen is able to play against the Cardinals, he won't make much of a fantasy football impact except as a potential detriment to Stevan Ridley. Things could get interesting down the road, however, if Vereen is able to carve out a significant workload for himself. Bill Belichick certainly isn't above a by-committee approach, even if Ridley is putting up incredible numbers like he did in Week 1. Stay tuned, though Ridley looks like a safe fantasy option for at least one more week.
