Shane Vereen is questionable for Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.
Shane Vereen is listed as questionable for Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals. Vereen was limited in practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with a foot injury that held him out the season opener against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact: Even if Vereen is healthy enough to play in Sunday's game, it's difficult to imagine the Patriots giving him a full workload considering his time spent sideline. Stevan Ridley's emergence as a potential feature back certainly doesn't spell good things for Vereen's fantasy value, either. Vereen could take on a significant role at some point this season, but don't expect much in Week 2 against the Cards.
