Shane Vereen Inactive Tag Makes Ridley A Fantasy Monster

NASHVILLE, TN - SEPTEMBER 9: Stevan Ridley #22 of the New England Patriots is tackled by Robert Johnson #32 of the Tennessee Titans during the season opener at LP Field on September 8, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee. The Patriots defeated the Titans 34 to 13. (Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)

Shane Vereen is inactive. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shane Vereen is inactive for the Patriots for their game against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Analysis: This shouldn't really be big news for fantasy owners of Vereen, but it completely solidifies how Stevan Ridley needs to be starting in every fantasy league. The Patriots should have success at moving the ball against the Cardinals. While Ridley probably won't get more than 20 carries today, he's a very good bet to find the end zone and should have eye-popping YPC in the process. Shane Vereen should not be on any standard fantasy roster and Danny Woodhead should also see some extra snaps on third down.
