New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with what appeared to be a lower leg or ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with what appeared to be a lower leg or ankle injury. He was taken to the locker room and his return is questionable, according to the broadcast. Julian Edelman, who started the game in place of Wes Welker, rolled up on Hernandez causing the injury. Following the injury, the Patriots went to a three wide receiver set, which included Welker.

Fantasy Impact: Aaron Hernandez was off to a fast start to the season, so any lengthy injury would be a huge blow to his fantasy owners. His absence will likely limit the amount of two-tight end sets the Patriots deploy. Wes Welker owners are the biggest beneficiaries of Hernandez being out of the lineup, as Welker wasn't on the field before the injury.
