Wes Welker had five receptions for 95 yards during Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Wes Welker caught five passes for 95 yards during Sunday's Week 2 game between the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals. He was targeted 11 times on the night, one week after catching just three passes for 14 yards on five targets in the season opener. Brandon Lloyd led the Pats with 13 targets, and finished with eight receptions for 60 yards.

Fantasy Impact: Julian Edelman actually earned the start over Welker and ended up playing more snaps than the veteran. The Pats may be trying to send a message of some sort to Welker, but it didn't really hit home much in a game where Welker still had a major impact. Be sure to monitor how he is used going forward, however.
