Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner is not expected to be suspended because of his recent DUI arrest. We break down the fantasy implications.
Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner is not expected to be suspended for his DUI arrest early Tuesday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms. Turner had 42 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in Monday night's win over the Denver Broncos. As Schefter points out, Turner is instead subject to a fine and could be entered into a substance program.
Fantasy Impact: Turner had some key runs late in Monday's win and did score a touchdown, but his fantasy numbers haven't been great through the first two weeks of the season. The offense seems to be shifting away from Turner as a focal point and that could mean more touches for Jacquizz Rodgers. Turner should be considered a fringe No. 2/3 running back in most leagues this week.
