Daniel Thomas was able to return to practice for the Dolphins on Wednesday after missing Week 2 with a concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.

Daniel Thomas returned to practice Wednesday for the Miami Dolphins, Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Press reports. Thomas sat out last week's game against the Carolina Panthers with a concussion suffered during the season opener. Thomas said he expects to regain the No. 2 spot on the depth chart behind Reggie Bush.

Fantasy Impact: Note this is Thomas is saying he is the No. 2 running back, not the coaches. Lamar Miller had a solid outing (10 carries, 65 yards, one TD) to complement Bush's monster performance last weekend. Coupled with Thomas' disappointing play in the preseason, and it's fair to say there is a legitimate competition for carries after Bush. Thomas is on his way to being active for Week 3, but he he is risky fantasy option even as a handcuff.
