Maurice Jones-Drew reported to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, ending his lengthy contract holdout. SB Nation's own Alfie Crow was the first to report that Jones-Drew would show up today. Jones-Drew joins the team with the same contract he fought so hard to have restructured. The Jaguars did not cave to their star running back's demands. Rashad Jennings has already been named the opening week starter. Jones-Drew racked up over $1 million in fines, but it's unclear whether the Jaguars will enforce that or not.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners who draft Jones-Drew are still taking a huge risk. He will not be the starter when the team takes on the Vikings next Sunday, and it's tough to say how long it will be before he is up to speed and in game shape. Jennings has proven to be more than capable in his absence, so the Jaguars will likely ease Jones-Drew into action and maintain a running back-by-committee approach. I wouldn't touch Jones-Drew until the fourth round and would drop Jennings down a few rounds as well.
