Ryan Mathews practiced in pads for the second straight day, and looks ready to go in Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.

San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (collarbone) is right on track to make his season debut Sunday. According to Michael Gehlken, Mathews practiced in pads Thursday with no limitations, making it his second straight day of full practices. The Chargers play the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3.

Fantasy Impact: All signs are pointing up for Mathews' triumphant return this week. The Falcons' run defense is extremely suspect, giving up 270 yards in two games, making Mathews a must-start in all league formats if he's ready to go. On the off chance he isn't, Jackie Battle had two touchdowns and 4.9 YPC against the Titans, making him an intriguing waiver pickup if Mathews can't go.
