Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is officially inactive according to the NFL Network, confirming earlier reports that he would not be able to play. Stewart is recovering from an ankle injury and the short week has not helped his cause of being able to play in week 3 against the Giants. He ran the ball eleven times for 51 yards in week 2 with a touchdown catch.
Fantasy Analysis: This means that it's officially time to remove Stewart from fantasy lineups and potentially upgrade DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert, although Tolbert is not worth a start at this time. It could also mean a couple of more carries for Cam Newton with one less mouth to feed on runs.
