Victor Cruz Goes Quiet Against Panthers, Has Little Fantasy Impact

Victor Cruz remained relatively quiet in the Giants blowout over the Panthers. We break down the fantasy implications.

It was believed that Victor Cruz would go off against the Panthers with Hakeem Nicks and Domenik Hixon on the bench for Thursday night's matchup. However, Cruz managed to catch six passes for just 42 yards.

Fantasy Impact: The Panthers clearly made it a key to shut down Cruz on the night. Ron Rivera even told the media at halftime that they might have been focusing too much on Cruz, with other weapons doing the damage. Cruz couldn't match the ridiculous numbers he posted last week as Ramses Barden stole the show in Carolina. Expect Cruz to bounce back nicely against Philadelphia in Week 4. He caught nine passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns against the Eagles in 2011.
