Detroit Lions tight end Tony Scheffler missed practice again on Friday because of a calf injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Detroit Lions tight end Tony Scheffler did not practice again on Friday because of a calf injury. The veteran has not practiced this week and his status is still in question for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact: Scheffler has six catches for 43 yards through two games for Detroit but is down the list when it comes to the team's passing game. Brandon Pettigrew remains Detroit's top pass-catching option at tight end and his value should see a boost if Scheffler is inactive this week. Pettigrew is a No. 1 fantasy tight end this week, while Scheffler is a name to keep in mind in deeper leagues or if something happens to Pettigrew.
