Jared Cook Injury: Titans TE Hurts Shoulder, Questionable To Return

Stay connected with SB Nation

Titans tight end Jared Cook has left the game against Detroit with an apparent left shoulder injury. He will not return to today's game.

The fourth-year player from South Carolina returned to the Titans' sideline after his injury but was not wearing shoulder pads, meaning that his day is done.

Before his injury, Cook was in the midst of an excellent fantasy day, having racked up 77 yards on four catches before leaving the game, including a 61-yard touchdown from Jake Locker. Cook out-muscled two Lions defenders down the middle of the field then outran the rest of the Detroit secondary to notch his first touchdown of the season.

Thanks to his excellent end to 2011, Cook has become a rising fantasy football star and one of Locker's favorite targets early in the 2012 season, catching seven passes for 87 yards before today's performance.
