Frank Gore only gets 12 carries. We break down the fantasy implications.
Frank Gore was effective with a 5.3 YPC, but was held in check by the Vikings to the tune of just 63 yards and one catch for nine yards.
Analysis: The Vikings forced the Niners to air it out and Alex Smith wasn't quite up to the task. Kendall Hunter only saw four carries compared to Gore's 12. Obviously, the Niners will want to get their ball carries more than 16 times for their next time out against the Jets. Gore won't be a must-start option at this point and Hunter is only a handcuff. The potential of Darrelle Revis could change that, though.
