Stevan Ridley Kept In Check Against Ravens, Disappointing Fantasy Owners

Stevan Ridley recorded just 37 yards on 13 carries during Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Ravens. We break down the fantasy implications.

Stevan Ridley rushed for 37 yards on 13 carries during Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. The Patriots gave more touches to Danny Woodhead, who finished with 34 yards rushing and a touchdown on 15 carries. Ridley failed to record a reception. Woodhead had one catch for nine yards.

Fantasy Impact: Bill Belichick reminded us why he is behind only Mike Shanahan when it comes to frustrating backfield decisions. The Pats never got anything going on the ground, but they moved the ball more effectively with Ridley than Woodhead. Hopefully, for the sake of the sanity of fantasy owners, the Pats will continue to rely on Ridley going forward. With a full complement of touches, he should be a solid RB1/RB2 in standard leagues.
