Darrius Heyward-Bey has been released from the hospital after suffering a neck injury Sunday, but there is still no timetable for his return. We break down the fantasy implications.
Darrius Heyward-Bey has been released from the hospital, but there is still no timetable for his return from a neck injury suffered during the Oakland Raiders' game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Heyward-Bey was carted off the field after sustaining a helmet-to-helmet hit, and had to spend Sunday night in the hospital.
Fantasy Impact: At this point, you can probably rule out Heyward-Bey for the Raiders' Week 4 bout against the Denver Broncos. He caught two passes for 14 yards and a touchdown before leaving Sunday's game in the first half, so he does have fantasy value when healthy. Heyward-Bey should probably be considered a Flex option at best in standard leagues, however.
