Kyle Rudolph Misses Practice With Sore Thigh: Fantasy Implications

Bruce Kluckhohn-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph didn't practice on Wednesday because of a sore thigh. We break down the fantasy implications.

Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph missed practice Wednesday because of a sore thigh. Rudolph caught two touchdown passes in last weekend's victory over the San Francisco 49ers. He has become a favorite target of quarterback Christian Ponder near the end zone heading into this weekend's game with the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Impact: Rudolph hasn't exploded for big yardage games this season but three touchdowns through three games is hard for fantasy owners to ignore. This doesn't sound like too much to worry about but Rudolph owners should look for updates as the week continues just to make sure. Rudolph is becoming a fringe No. 1 tight end and will see his value increase as the bye weeks begin.
