Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano said Wednesday that running back LeGarrette Blount probably needs to get more carries. Tampa Bay has leaned heavily on rookie Doug Martin through the first three games but Schiano said that Blount could start getting more carries this weekend against the Washington Redskins. Blount has seven carries for 27 yards so far this season.
Fantasy Impact: Blount has not made much of a fantasy impact this season but did run for 19 yards on four carries last weekend against Dallas. Tampa Bay probably needs a secondary back to keep Martin fresh and Blount could fill that role. Martin's value could take a bit of a hit but, for now, Blount's only value to fantasy owners is as insurance for Martin.
