Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Malcom Floyd signed a three-year contract extension with the San Diego Chargers on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Malcom Floyd signed a three-year contract extension with the San Diego Chargers on Wednesday, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. The veteran wide receiver was set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season. He has 13 receptions for 227 yards and a touchdown through three games.
Fantasy Impact: Floyd has always been a productive receiver as long as he has been healthy, but the wideout has played in just one 16-game season in his seven-year career. As long as he is on the field he can be productive fantasy option, however. Floyd has established himself as perhaps Philip Rivers' favorite receiver this year, despite the presence of Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal. He is worth consideration as a WR2/Flex option in standard leagues.
