Greg M. Cooper-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Aaron Hernandez walked through the Patriots locker room Thursday with no sign of a limp or ankle protection, according to reports. We break down the fantasy implications.

Update: Hernandez is healing faster than expected, according to Adam Schefter. Kellen Winslow was granted his released from the Patriots on Thursday, perhaps in anticipation of Hernandez' return to the field sooner than later.

Aaron Hernandez strolled through the New England Patriots locker room Thursday with "no limp or ankle protection" according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. Hernandez suffered a right ankle injury in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact: The timetable for Hernandez' return is still unclear. At the time of the injury, there was some worry that Hernandez suffered a high ankle sprain that would keep him on the shelf into the second half of the regular season. It appears that the injury isn't quite that serious, but the Pats remain tight-lipped on whether his return date is on the horizon. Don't expect the tight end back by Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills, but beyond that is anyone's guess.
