Rashard Mendenhall took on more physical contact in Steelers practice last week for the first time since suffering a torn ACL late last season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rashard Mendenhall took on more physical contact during Pittsburgh Steelers practice last week for the first time since returning from a torn ACL suffered late last season, according to the team's official site. The Steelers are on a bye this week, giving Mendenhall time to heal and potentially make a Week 5 return.

Fantasy Impact: Mendenhall has seemingly been on the cusp of returning to game action since being removed from the physically unable to perform list in preseason. The Steelers' running game has struggled with Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman carrying the load, making Mendenhall an intriguing speculative claim off fantasy waivers if available in standard leagues. Unfortunately, there is no specific date set for his return.
