Wide receiver Deion Branch reportedly wants to return to the New England Patriots and there is apparently some mutual interest in making that happen. We break down the fantasy implications.

Wide receiver Deion Branch reportedly wants to go back to the New England Patriots and there is apparently some interest from the team. Michael Giardi of Comcast SportsNet New England, citing a source, reports that Branch wants to return and that the Patriots are also interested in making that happen. The Patriots released Branch last week and recently added receiver Greg Salas.

Fantasy Impact: The Patriots appeared to have parted ways with the 33-year-old after cutting him last week but Branch has made his way back to New England before. If this happens, Branch should not be considered a viable fantasy option and cannot be counted on for any kind of consistent scoring. Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez are much better options in the New England offense.
