Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is expected to start taking hits without limitations in practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will start taking hits from defenders in practice on Wednesday, coach Leslie Frasier tells ESPN1500.com. The Vikings have been very cautious in practice with Peterson, who is returning from a major knee injury. The Vikings open the season on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Impact: The Vikings were going to have to let Peterson take hits in practice at some point just to see if/how much they can use him in Week 1 against Jacksonville. Frasier has already said Peterson will be a game-time decision and fantasy owners will probably want to wait a week before putting considering him for their lineups. Toby Gerhart is likely going to be the Vikings running back to use this weekend.
